Chambers welcomes four new tenants following successful pupillage

Twenty Essex has announced the appointment of four new members—Daniel Hodgkinson, Sophie Ryan, Lukas Swyton and Alma Mozetic—who join chambers after completing their pupillage. The new tenants bring a wealth of international experience and academic distinction, further strengthening Twenty Essex’s commercial law offering.

Daniel Hodgkinson (pictured, left) is dual-qualified in England and New York, with degrees from Durham, Cambridge and Harvard. He previously worked at the Law Commission on the Arbitration Act 1996 and gained experience at Pogust Goodhead and WilmerHale. Sophie Ryan (second right), an Australia-at-Large Rhodes Scholar, joins with credentials from Oxford and Queensland, and has held roles at the Australian Law Reform Commission and the Federal Court of Australia.

Lukas Swyton (second left) arrives with experience from the Court of Justice of the European Union, where he worked on high-profile commercial cases. A double Oxford graduate, he taught at Magdalen College and received multiple academic awards. Alma Mozetic (right) brings transatlantic litigation and arbitration expertise from Cravath and Debevoise, and holds top honours from UCL, Oxford and Harvard.

Co-heads of chambers Philip Edey KC and Charles Kimmins KC said: ‘We are thrilled to be able to welcome such outstanding young practitioners… bringing distinctive and valuable perspectives and interests.’ The appointments reflect Twenty Essex’s continued growth and commitment to excellence across its commercial law practice.
