Switalskis has opened a new office at Fisherman’s Wharf in Grimsby, marking its 12th location and extending its footprint beyond its established bases across Yorkshire and London. The firm said the move strengthens local access to specialist legal services for businesses and residents in North East Lincolnshire, while supporting existing clients who would otherwise need to travel.
The Grimsby office will house solicitors working across commercial property, residential conveyancing, medical negligence and child care law, with access to the firm’s wider full-service offering. The opening is also significant for local families, as the firm’s child care team can now undertake legal aid-funded work in the area, which requires a physical office presence.
Joint head of residential conveyancing Ed Atkin said: ‘Grimsby is my hometown, and home to my co-directors. We have deep knowledge of the local community and its property and business markets.’ He added: ‘Our Grimsby office opening is a natural step for us… It reinforces our model of delivering local access backed by national expertise.’
Atkin also said: ‘We plan to create skilled jobs here and contribute positively to the area’s professional and economic life. I’m thrilled that we’re investing in the future of this town and the local region.’
