Switalskis has welcomed 14 new trainee solicitors this month, marking its largest intake to date. The new cohort reflects the firm’s commitment to investing in future talent and includes two solicitor apprentices in their final two years, eight solicitor apprentices at earlier stages, and four trainee solicitors. Thirteen of the group have progressed internally, while one joins from another practice.
The new trainees will gain experience across a wide range of practice areas. Four—Callum Badger, Rebecca Grayson, Catherine Ross and Chantelle Williams—join the clinical negligence team. Liam Giles and Shareen Munir begin in wills and probate, while Josie Clarke, Robert Davies and Rhiannon Moore join the court of protection. Seats are also being taken in care, child abuse litigation, family law and commercial property.
Earlier in the year, Caitlin Nunn and Ellie Dawson joined the programme, now sitting in personal injury and abuse litigation respectively. Together with this latest group, Switalskis now has 26 trainees developing within its bespoke programme, which is designed to give broad experience before specialisation.
Amy Clowrey, training principal and director in the abuse litigation department, said: ‘This year marks our largest cohort yet.’ She added that the programme combined ‘internal training, buddy systems, regular meetings with senior team members, and social events’. She also paid tribute to talent manager Jaron Shahidi, noting his ‘key role in helping our trainees thrive’.
