In brief

Plans for the world’s biggest dedicated business court have been unveiled by Her Majesty’s Courts Service. The high-spec building—Rolls Building—is to be built on Fetter Lane near the Royal Courts of Justice.

It will bring together the specialist jurisdictions of the High Court dealing with business disputes under one roof. The new ‘super court’, which is believed to be around four times bigger than its nearest competitor, will provide 29 courtrooms, 12 hearing rooms and 44 public consultation rooms.
