Crown Court sentencing guidelines are to be published digitally from 8 November, the Sentencing Council has announced. Currently available only in print or PDF, the digital guidelines will be available on a dedicated, Crown Court area of the Council’s website. Publication of the print and PDF versions of the guidelines will cease altogether in 2019. The Council has consulted judges, prosecutors and defence practitioners on the best design to adopt, and will continue to welcome feedback. The guidelines can be viewed here.
