News in brief

The Financial Claims Service, a claims specialist company, is promoting a new training scheme to help solicitors capitalise on the growth of the payment protection insurance (PPI) market. Daniella Lipszyc, a commercial litigation solicitor, who is leading the programme, says the training will give solicitors background information on PPI, tips on how to recognise key points in a financial mis-selling claim, and advice on how to build a strong case. She adds that the market is saturated with tens of thousands of customers seeking compensation from lenders and financial services providers, accused of misselling policies covering pensions, mortgages and loans.
