Mayer v Hoar [2012] EWHC 1805 (QB), [2012] All ER (D) 46 (Jul)

It was established law that, having been established by the General Council of the Bar to handle complaints against barristers, communications to the Bar Standards Board (BSB) were protected to the same extent that communications to a Bench of an Inn of Court had been, as were communications to other regulatory bodies that exercised similar functions to that of the BSB.
