Nominations have opened for the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year awards (the LALY’s), now in their 13th year. The awards are organised on a not-for-profit basis by the Legal Aid Practitioners Group (LAPG). Nominations close on 27 April, and the awards ceremony is on 1 July 2014. LAPG director Carol Storer says: “The tougher things get, the more vital it is that we all recognise the work of those at the legal aid coalface.”
