New partner joins construction team

Wedlake Bell LLP has appointed Helen Garthwaite as a partner in the construction team. The appointment is in direct response to growth and demand from clients across the construction and property sector.  

Prior to joining Wedlake Bell, Helen was a partner at Taylor Wessing and specialises in construction, development and finance work. She has a wealth of experience which includes advising on the City development known as Milton Court with facilities for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a high spec residential tower above. She is currently working on the Riverwalk residential scheme fronting the Thames at Millbank. Helen continues her industry work with the British Council for Offices where she is a director and member of the management board. 

Helen has a broad range of clients including; corporations and institutions owning, financing, investing in and procuring development, civil engineering and infrastructure projects. She has also acted for sponsors and participants in major projects, designers and contractors and regularly advises lenders, investors and developers on development project procurement, financing and structuring.
