New head of medical negligence

Fletchers Solicitors has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of a new head of medical negligence.

Georgia Briscoe joined the Southport firm as a senior solicitor in January 2015 but after impressing the team with her wealth of knowledge and experience, she has recently been promoted to head up the 74-strong medical negligence team.

Prior to her role at Fletchers, Georgia was partner at Liverpool-based EAD Solicitors for three years after working her way up from a trainee solicitor over a 13-year period. She obtained this partnership within 12 months of moving to the clinical negligence department and having returned to work after a period of maternity leave.

Georgia will be responsible for overseeing one of the largest specialist medical negligence departments in the country, as well as improving the strategy and development of the team. She will be tasked with managing all staff within the department, and ensuring that all types of cases are dealt with efficiently and professionally.

Ed Fletcher, CEO at Fletchers Solicitors, says: “We are delighted to have Georgia on board and to be able to offer her this senior leadership role. Georgia has displayed an incredibly impressive level of experience and expertise since joining Fletchers at the start of this year. During her short time here, she has demonstrated that she is hard-working and determined and as such she is a great asset to our team. We look forward to seeing how she can help develop and grow our already fantastic offering.”
