Event attracts nationwide tweeters

The second family law tweet-up took place recently in London. Attracting people from around the country, the event was organised by Major Family Law, a leading niche practice in Ponteland, Northumberland and sponsored by LexisNexis.

Over 90 family law tweeters attended to meet, network and collaborate with fellow family law tweeters they may have only have previously communicated with on Twitter.

Geraldine Morris, Head of LexisPSL Family at LexisNexis (@geraldinemorris) said: “The tweet-up is a great opportunity to meet and exchange ideas. The event attracts the most forward thinking and innovative family lawyers, so is the natural partner for LexisNexis as we continually develop innovative tools and content for family lawyers such as LexisPSL Family and our content on family law funding, skills and social media.”

The event’s organiser, Joanne Major (@majorfamilylaw), is recognised as a leading individual in both the Legal 500 and Chambers. An early adopter of Twitter, Joanne is known nationally for her innovative marketing. Speakers during the course of the evening included David Williams QC (@bikingbarrister) and Gillian Bishop of Family Law in Partnership (@GillianFLiP).
