Skype Ultd v Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) T-184/13 , [2015] All ER (D) 29 (May)

The General Court of the European Union dismissed the action brought by SKYPE Ultd, established in Ireland, against the decision of the Fourth Board of Appeal of the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) concerning opposition proceedings between, on the one hand, British Sky Broadcasting Group plc and another company and Skype Ultd relating to the application for registration by the latter company of the word sign “SKYPE” as a Community trade mark.
