New rules to regulate the use of drones have been announced by the government. Owners of drones weighing 250 grams and more will have to be registered and users will have to sit safety awareness tests to prove they understand safety, security and privacy regulations. The move follows safety research that concluded drones could damage the windscreens of helicopters.
