Mahfouz and others v El-Rashid and others [2017] EWHC 1460 (Comm), [2017] All ER (D) 29 (Jul)

The Commercial Court found a number of contempts of court proven against the defendant, who had taken a down-payment from the claimants in respect of a proposed oil-related transaction but had allegedly spent it on property and cars. The court held that all the contempts were proven except an allegation that he had failed to disclose six cars that he owned, in breach of an earlier order, which had not been proven to the appropriate standard.
