Firm announces five partner promotions

Charles Russell Speechlys has promoted five lawyers to partner in its first promotion round since Charles Russell and Speechly Bircham merged in November last year.

The promotions—which come from both legacy firms and from across all four divisions and the three UK offices—reflect both confidence within the firm and the hard work, legal expertise and dedication to client service of the five new partners.

The new partners are: Sally Ashford (Private client, Guildford); Suzi Gatward (Real estate, London); Jonathan Morley (Corporate, Cheltenham); Hanh Nguyen (Corporate restructuring & insolvency, London); and Jonathan Walters (Commercial, London).

These five promotions follow the two lateral partner hires Charles Russell Speechlys has made since the merger in November. Kim Campion leads the firm’s employment team in Paris and joined from Courtois Lebel in December, and Victor Regnard is head of the corporate and banking & finance practices in Luxembourg and joined from Clifford Chance in January.

Christopher Page, senior partner at Charles Russell Speechlys, says: “The merger has made this a very busy year, but we have never lost sight of fact that it is the quality and dedication to client service of our people that drives our continued success. I welcome Sally, Suzi, Jonathan, Hanh and Jon to the partnership; they are all outstanding practitioners in their fields and exemplify the values of the firm.”
