The British Institute of International and Comparative Law has announced the appointment of Dame Rosalyn Higgins DBE QC as its new president.
Dame Higgins served as a judge of the International Court of Justice from 1995 to 2009, having been elected by the General Assembly and the Security Council of the United Nations. She was president of the International Court from 2006 to 2009.
