As the UK enters the two-year countdown to Brexit, government lawyers and civil servants will be wading through a massive amount of legislation. According to Thomson Reuters, a total of 52,741 EU laws have been introduced in the UK since 1990. Areas of law most influenced by the EU include trade, agriculture, financial services and the environment. The prime minister has said that EU law-derived provisions will remain in UK law until reviewed and decisions are made as to whether to keep, amend or repeal them.
