Bar backs Charter for Black Talent

The Bar Council has become the latest organisation to back the Charter for Black Talent in Finance and the Professions, which aims to boost the number of black professionals in senior positions. 

The charter is the brainchild of barrister Harry Matovu QC, who has been working in partnership with Michael Eboda, CEO of Powerful Media Ltd, to extend its reach. It has been backed by Magic Circle firms, several chambers, the Inns of Court and the Commercial Bar Association.

Matovu said: ‘Equality of opportunity is fundamental to any true meritocracy.’
