Talbots Law has strengthened its agricultural law team with the appointment of two experienced directors, Sara Pickerin and Nicholas Playford, who together bring over 40 years’ experience in the sector. Their arrival boosts the team to four directors, reinforcing the firm’s ability to serve hundreds of rural clients across England and Wales.
The pair will focus on strategic land management and diversification projects—from solar installations and farm shops to glamping and holiday ventures—helping farmers make the most of their land. Working across Talbots’ 19 offices, including rural hubs in Leek, Market Drayton, Telford and Worcester, they will enhance the firm’s reputation for comprehensive agricultural services.
Sean Spinetto, head of agriculture at Talbots Law, said he was ‘thrilled to welcome Sara and Nicholas as directors within our team’. He added that attracting such talent ‘is a testament to the reputation we are building in the agricultural sector’ and that their expertise ‘will help us continue supporting farmers, landowners and rural businesses with both the challenges and opportunities they face’.
The firm has become a familiar face at agricultural shows throughout 2025 and plans to showcase its agricultural law services at LAMMA 2026, the UK’s largest agricultural machinery and technology event, at the NEC.
