SRA alarm over PC renewal rates

Nearly three-quarters of solicitors have still to renew their practising certificate with less than six weeks to go until the 18 June deadline, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has said. The fee for 2013 is £20, although those who have been on the roll for more than 50 years will not be charged. Solicitors should apply online through the mySRA portal. Failure to do so will result in removal from the roll of solicitors.
