The term, “apprenticeship” is to be protected in law through the Enterprise Bill, which is due to be introduced in Parliament in the autumn, according to solicitors Simons Muirhead & Burton. The government’s commitment to create three million apprenticeships by 2020 will also be enshrined in law, and public bodies will be set targets for creating apprenticeships.
