Solicitors’ prices continue to baffle the public, according to the Legal Services Consumer Panel’s latest tracker survey. When comparing prices, only 6% of consumers found it on the legal services provider’s website, and 4% found it on a comparison website. The tracker survey found that, while shopping around may be difficult, 87% of those who shopped around said it gave them more choice. Dr Jane Martin, the Panel’s chair, said it was ‘disappointing to note that change has been slow and basic information is not sufficiently available’.
