Yukos Finance BV and others v Lynch and others [2017] EWHC 1812 (Comm), [2017] All ER (D) 147 (Jul)

There was no evidence to justify granting the first defendant’s applications to set aside an order extending time for service of an amended claim form on him out of the jurisdiction, and an order granting the claimants retrospective permission to serve the amended claim form out of the jurisdiction in Lebanon. So held the Commercial Court in respect of a claim alleging unlawful acts by the first defendant and others, concerning the sale by auction of assets of Yukos Oil.
