Mishcon de Reya has elected Susannah Kintish as chair of its tier 1 ranked employment department. She has been with the firm for 17 years, joining as a newly qualified lawyer and becoming a partner in 2017. Her election takes effect in April, following the appointment of outgoing employment chair Daniel Naftalin as managing partner.
Kintish advises corporates and senior individuals on day-to-day employment issues and high-stakes disputes. A seasoned litigator, she has appeared before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court and employment tribunal. She is particularly known for her work on restrictive covenants, confidential information and team move cases, and acted for Pimlico Plumbers in the landmark Supreme Court case on worker status.
Naftalin said: ‘I am so pleased that Susannah has been elected as Chair of our Employment department,’ adding that ‘it could not be in better hands’. Kintish said: ‘I am honoured to have been elected Chair of our Employment department – it is the privilege of my career to be able to lead this market-leading team,’ and that ‘my priority will be to continue to grow the business in our key strategic areas, attract and nurture the best talent’.
