LNB NEWS: SRA confirms rules for post six–year client protection

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Board has finalised rules to bring the Solicitors Indemnity Fund (SIF) under control and guarantee consumer protection for post six-year negligence claims following a consultation which closed on 3 January 2023. 

Lexis®Library update: The changes aim to ensure appropriate oversight and governance and will also reduce SIF’S running costs. The rules will be submitted to the Legal Services Board for approval and will become effective from October 2023.
