O’Connor v Bar Standards Board [2016] EWCA Civ 775, [2016] All ER (D) 82 (Aug)
The Court of Appeal, Civil Division, held that the claimant’s claim against the respondent Bar Standards Board (BSB) was time-barred and that there was no obligation upon a court to consider extending time of its own initiative in a case where it was argued that BSB’s opposition to an appeal should be regarded as a continuation of the prosecution, and where the claimant did not ask the court to exercise its discretion to extend time.
