LSC launches tender process for legal services

The Legal Services Commission (LSC) has announced that the tender process will open on 21 May for face-to-face legal services in family, immigration and asylum and debt and housing; and telephone services in family, debt and housing, special educational needs and discrimination.

Any law firm or other organisation intending to provide legal aid services from April 2013 will need to tender for a new contract. The closing date is 12 noon on 18 June. The LSC is also inviting tenders for additional services in mediation and housing possession court duty schemes.
