Experienced professionals are in demand

Experienced lawyers with at least two years’ PQE are in demand in the recruitment market “in response to the requirement that lawyers are able to hit the ground running to assist with the heavy workloads” that build up towards the end of the financial year, says Duncan Ward of recruiters Badenoch & Clark. “With improvement in the market, there is also more movement within businesses at a senior level, making the demand for experienced lawyers more apparent.” Newly qualified lawyers are being “snapped up” by construction and engineering firms.
