Irwin Mitchell has appointed Vijay Bange as partner and head of its national construction & engineering team. Based in London, Vijay brings more than 30 years of experience from senior roles at Trowers & Hamlins, Pinsent Masons and, most recently, as chair of the international arbitration division and construction lead partner at Duane Morris. He will focus on growing the national practice, developing an arbitration offering in the capital, and expanding work through the firm’s international desks.
Vijay’s clients include developers, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants and manufacturers across sectors such as property, infrastructure, engineering, energy, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. Vijay’s appointment follows the recent hire of construction disputes partner Alex Delin from Fieldfisher and builds on the firm’s strong non-contentious construction practice, led by partner Robert Tunningley. Together, these hires underline Irwin Mitchell’s continued investment in strengthening its national construction offering.
