Gateley Legal—Caroline Pope & Bob Maynard

Construction team bolstered by hire of senior consultant duo

Gateley Legal has appointed Caroline Pope and Bob Maynard as consultants in its construction team, enhancing its national and international disputes offering. Both join from Addleshaw Goddard and bring extensive experience advising on complex construction, engineering and infrastructure matters.

Pope brings more than 40 years’ experience in dispute resolution, including international work in the Middle East, and is a CEDR-accredited mediator. Maynard adds over 35 years’ experience in construction disputes, forensic investigations and international arbitration. Both will support the firm’s UK practice and its international work, including collaboration with colleagues in Dubai.

In her role, Pope will help drive growth, including developing a London-based team and strengthening the firm’s alternative dispute resolution capabilities. Alongside Maynard, she will work closely with arbitration specialists and technical construction consultancy experts across the wider group.

Emlyn Hudson, partner and national head of construction, said: ‘It’s brilliant to have Caroline and Bob onboard’ and described them as ‘a formidable duo,’ adding that ‘both of them bring key strategic expertise which will strengthen the breadth and depth of our UK and international offering.’
