Marine lawyer joins firm to launch Cargo Law

Marine lawyer Charlotte Gale has joined Excello Law to launch her marine practice under the brand name of Cargo Law.

Cargo Law, under Charlotte’s leadership, will concentrate on cargo recovery claims, with a particular emphasis on soft commodities such as rice, grains and wheat. Cargo Law specialises in resolving issues related to loss and damage occurring during the transportation of goods by sea, road and air, catering to a diverse clientele including insurance companies, traders and brokers.

With a career spanning over two decades in maritime law, Charlotte brings extensive experience in dry shipping disputes, including claims involving bills of lading, charterparties, sales contracts and associated insurance policies. Her expertise has solidified her position as a leading authority in marine law, providing invaluable counsel to her clients in navigating the complexities of cargo loss and damage cases across various modes of transportation.

Charlotte joins Excello Law from Roose + Partners, where she was a partner for the past seven years. Prior to that, she spent eight years at Clyde & Co LLP, honing her skills in marine law and establishing herself as a trusted legal advisor in the field.
