Essop and others v Home Office (UK Border Agency); Naeem v Secretary of State for Justice [2017] UKSC 27, [2017] All ER (D) 12 (Apr)

The Supreme Court allowed an appeal in the first case and dismissed the appeal in the second case, in cases concerning indirect discrimination on grounds of race, age or religion. The court considered the various iterations of the concept of indirect discrimination and the requirements for finding that it had occurred with regard to a particular provision, criterion or practice.
