Denton Wilde Sapte (DWS) has donated £50,000 to postgraduate students at Birkbeck University who are struggling to pay their tuition fees.
The funds were drawn from over six years of unclaimed or unused client funds. Shona Harper, TMT associate and member of DWS’s pro bono committee, says the firm has an ongoing relationship with Birkbeck, which is part of its local community.
The firm also donated £5,000 to Richard House, a children’s hospice in East London and hopes to donate more money as it becomes eligible for release under the applicable professional rules.
