Richard Ward, Chair of Debevoise’s UK tax practice, commented: ‘Private equity funds and their transactions are an important part of our tax practice. Welcoming Jenny into the team reconfirms our commitment to offer those fund clients the very best advice in the market. She is an outstanding lawyer, with a proven commitment not only to technical excellence, but also to influencing tax policy through high-level involvement in bodies such as the BVCA. I look forward to welcoming her into the team.’

Jenny Wheater, international counsel at Debevoise, commented: ‘I am excited to be joining the team at Debevoise. The tax environment for private equity has changed at a daunting pace in recent years, and so it has rarely been more important for funds to plan carefully for the challenges and opportunities that brings. Debevoise has been at the forefront of that change for some time, and I am looking forward to playing my part in the firm’s ongoing success.’
