A v Chief Constable of South Yorkshire, [2008] EWHC 1658 (Comm)

An instructed solicitor outside of his local area who charged out at higher rates than local lawyers of like experience. It was held that it was proper to reduce costs to a rate that would have been charged by a local solicitor.
