OFT raises fees for merger notifications

The Office of Fair Trading has raised its fees for merger notifications. As of 1 October, new fees will apply. These vary according to the UK turnover of the acquired enterprise and are in the following bands: £40,000 where the turnover is up to £20m; £80,000 where the turnover is £20m–£70m; £120,000 where the turnover is £70m–£120m; and £160,000 where the turnover is greater than £120m.
