More than half of conveyancers (55%) feel confident in the stability of the property market, according to the Council for Licensed Conveyancers’ (CLC’s) quarterly confidence tracker.
Fewer than one in eight reported a lack of confidence in current market conditions. Home sales are generally taking three to four months from offer acceptance to completion.
CLC head of strategy Stephen Ward said: ‘2025 holds a lot in store for the property market. Next month’s stamp duty land tax changes will undoubtedly have an impact. We also expect to see interest rates continue to gradually trend downwards.’
