News In Brief

The Legal Services Commission has published its consultation response on Civil Bid Rounds for 2010 Contracts, setting out the face-to-face civil legal aid services it intends to commission from 2010 when the existing Unified Contract (Civil) ends. It can be found on the Commission’s website at www.legalservices.gov.uk. Funding will be focused on priority areas, such as domestic abuse and the Commission promises a joined-up approach to tackling the causes of legal problems.
