Charles Russell Speechlys has appointed Vadim Romanoff to its corporate tax and incentives team in London. Vadim joins from Clifford Chance, where he was tax director, having previously worked at Baker McKenzie and a London-based family office. With more than 17 years’ experience across leading law firms, he specialises in UK and international tax, advising on private investment fund structures, family offices, and complex corporate transactions.
David Collins, partner responsible for the firm’s business advisory and transaction services division, said: ‘Vadim’s appointment represents a significant step in our ongoing commitment to building a dynamic and market-leading tax practice.’ He added that Vadim’s experience ‘aligns strongly with our ambitions in the international private capital and private funds space’ and that his arrival ‘adds significant firepower to the firm as we continue to advise clients across the world’s major wealth centres’.
Vadim said he was ‘thrilled to be joining a firm so highly regarded in the world of private capital’, describing Charles Russell Speechlys as ‘a great fit with my own areas of expertise’. He noted the firm’s strong growth and international trajectory, adding: ‘It is on an exciting path and well-equipped to provide the highest-quality service to clients across a range of jurisdictions.’
The appointment follows recent strategic hires within the firm’s private capital and tax practices, including Matthew Griffin as partner in the funds and investment management team and James Stewart as partner in the corporate tax and incentives team. Together, these appointments reinforce the firm’s commitment to expanding its expertise in private funds, funds tax and real estate.
