The government has published the government’s first UK-EU annual report on the functioning of the Withdrawal Agreement

The short report, ‘Withdrawal Agreement Joint Committee annual report for the year 2020’, looks at activity during the transition period, which lasted from 1 February 2020 to 31 December 2020.

It covers meetings and activities, declarations and press statements, as well as the six Decisions it adopted, four of which related to the Northern Ireland Protocol, one to citizens’ rights and one to arbitration. The committee was co-chaired by Cabinet Office minister Lord David Frost and Maroš Šefčovič, vice president of the European Commission.
