New research has found that 93% of people have received compensation payments through Acas mediated settlements without the need for enforcement, compared to 53% via an employment tribunal. Acas conciliation is a free voluntary service that tries to resolve workplace disputes before they reach the employment tribunal stage. The research, Payment of Acas conciliated settlements, followed cases in the first three months of 2014.
